Spiderman 2: top notch, 180 million US $ in a week, beating the previous Spiderman gross earning within the first week screening.
Not much to say beside that it’s a thrilling installment of Spiderman. A masterpiece, superb, whatever you may want to entitle this movie with. It has everything that good movie needs. As an action movie, for those of you who soaked up with any other superhero’s lame action sequences than Spiderman 2 will not fail you one more time.

Spiderman meets his a vengeful villain, Dr.Octopus. A really nice man turned into sick freak genius who seeks a fulfillment on his thirst of his intelligence. Well, eventually he decided to responsible on what he has started, he sinks with the fusion of power that he creates (sort of ball of lights-equal to the sun-and sucking anything inside, including Mary Jane’s sexy tits-before Spiderman gets his web on her of course). Well, Dr.Octavious is really sure that the fusion of power would help the world to create a cheaper energy sources. But of course he miscalculates and blows everything to death, including his wife (my condolence to him, cause somehow this genius is very nice, an affectionate husband to his wife, Rose). That sinister chip behind his back turns him to a 6 hands robotic enemy, a strong one for Spiderman to counter. Both Dr.Octavious (later on being called as Dr.Octopus by the Daily Bulge) and Peter Parker are sad people indeed. They have the same dreams, achieving a happy life with no concern, but they have to let it go and just be alone, as they have to realize that they are different. But Peter Parker goes to the other current anyway. Dr.Octavius lost his wife. Peter lost his uncle. And both live in seclusion.

As a drama Spiderman 2 also provides you with nerve touching sadness delivers by Peter’s gloomy eyes. He realizes that being a superhero prevents him from having a normal life. Life with Mary Jane, life with a normal job, normal classes, no concern, not having to save other people’s life. But there it goes again; great power comes with great responsibilities. Peter tries to deny it at first. And he goes back blind without his eyeglasses. He lost his web when he swings on the rooftop of the city. He can’t crawl any more. Mentally, he is a sick Spiderman. And also for the first time ever he tells his aunt that Ben’s death was somehow his fault. But his openhearted aunt kindly closed the confession as a part of the past, and respectfully appreciating Peter’s nerve to admit the truth. Peter comes back. He ‘steals’ his costume and meets Octopus to rescue Mary Jane and NY City.

For those of you who like great action sequences, Spiderman 2 has it too. Don’t put your eyes away on the train’s fighting scenes. It will amaze your eyes. But the touching part comes when Octopus flees away to let Spiderman prevents the train from plunging to the sea. Peter has given every power he has to slow down the train, including his super strong web that sticks in many buildings to hold the train down (the train speeds away as Octopus broke the control stick). Peter has given everything to safe these people, including opening his mask and revealing his true identity. Watch how this superhero being loved by the people. I cried when I watched this part, as it was very damn touching. At least Peter knows that his fighting the bad guys brings him many loyal fans and devotees out there that love him so much. Eventually he finds the reason to keep being Spiderman, to keep fighting the bad guys. Despite all of the CGI, those generated images sure look like real. It won’t fail you; you will find it hard to differ the real human with the generated image.

Anyway, love is in the air for Peter, though he keeps denying that he loves MJ. What can he do anyway; he wont let any bad guys lay their fingers on her. So he must say that he doesn’t love her; for his good, for her safety. So sad but true. But again, good movie is a good movie. In the final fighting when Spiderman has to save the city from the energy fusion ball and Octopus, Peter unmasked himself in front of Octopus who eventually manage to control the machine, and of course in front of MJ. Its her turn to know that Peter loves her indeed, from the very beginning, and has the reasons to not letting her know the truth about his living a double identity. Don’t miss this part too. Watch how Tobey successfully walks on the web, just like a real spider. Notice how that love grows even stronger in MJ’s eyes and how losing MJ is the worst part for Peter in Tobey’s eyes (that’s why I think that no one in this earth deserve the role better than him). Peter kept saying that they cant be together cause he is a Spiderman. But lucky for Peter, MJ thinks the other way around. She leaves her wedding and fully dressed in her wedding gown heading to Peter’s roof top poorly equipped apartment room. I wont forget those lines. That she’s on Peter’s door, and has always been there. Since the very beginning she realizes that Peter was something different, and she wont ever let him go (ouch!). She will take the risk of being Spidey’s babe and wanting to face the risk together with Peter. Damn Peter, you are one lucky stud. Well, don’t move your eyes for that dreadful look on Peter’s eyes when he sits alone in his room, reminiscing MJ’s wedding day, and the thought that he won’t ever be there for her. But good movie is a good movie, I am telling you.

Well, in this latest installment we will acknowledge the pre-birth of the next Goblin, which is the one and only vengeful Harry Osborn (who is shocked to death to know that Spiderman is his friend, brother, Peter Parker), when he faces the delusion of his evil father and his founding of that secret lab used to belong to his father, and all the weapons he needs to have his revenge. What does it mean? It means that we will be able to see the third installment of Spiderman in 2007. A long way to go huh? But again, good movie is a good movie. And I am still wondering whether Peter will have a baby Spider with Mary Jane, and he leaves MJ to death, letting MJ alone rising soon to be hero. Following the father’s order. Who knows.

JoJo's album launching party at Planet Hollywood

On June 22, Planet Hollywood in Times Square held a party to promote thirteen-year-old pop sensation Jojo’s self-titled debut album. Fans, composed of mainly pre-teen girls, chanted “We want Jojo!” until the young singer finally appeared onstage. She was introduced by Aaliyah’s uncle, who hailed the young songbird’s future "To be endless."
As soon as Jojo appeared onstage, camera flashes would not stop going off until she left the room. Wearing a white tank top and white jeans covered in pink hearts and red lips, Jojo was the picture of hip youth. Young girls, screaming her name at the top of their lungs in adoration, waved their arms frantically in an attempt to get her attention. Jojo was apparently nonplussed about her newfound fame. She acted as if she was born to perform in front of so many adoring fans.

Even more surprising than her confident mature attitude at such a young age, is her voice. As soon as she sang the first note, her talent became evident. She sang every note perfectly and with such power and range that I heard someone behind me say aloud, “Christina [Aguilera] ain’t got nothin’ on this girl.”
Jojo is apparently a package. Along with the voice, she also has the dance moves to match. She was in time with her young male backup dancers and she made every move look effortless. She owned the stage and worked the audience so well that I noticed even the older audience, including myself, swaying along in time with her music.

Jojo only sang a couple of songs and her choice varied from fast dance beats to a slow ballad. The only hitch during the entire evening was when she sang her breakthrough single, “Leave (Get Out)”, the microphone did not function at the beginning of the song. She handled the situation like a true pro. She continued dancing and singing along until someone finally handed her a working mic.
Jojo was gracious enough to stay for a bit after her performance, sign autographs and pose for pictures with her young fans. Her poise, confidence, and charisma left everyone in disbelief that night. Could this girl really be thirteen? Perhaps the world is now witnessing a new breed of teen pop idols – one where a thirteen-year-old girl can sing about love, loss, and everything in between just as convincingly as a thirty-year-old can. Stranger things have happened...
again, i would like to invite you to visit her link in my main blog stanleyosmond.tk and find link to JoJo's online (her official site), its up to you whether you would like to enter with the music on or off, chose the media, launch her jukebox, and listen to three singles from her selftitled debut album.
